Call for Proposals
The proposal submission deadline is Friday, April 25, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. EST. We encourage you to begin planning your presentation immediately to meet this deadline.
The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) of the U.S. Department of Education invites you to submit a proposal to present at the 2014 OSEP Project Directors' Conference to be held in Washington, DC, on
July 21–23, 2014.This year's conference will provide opportunities for you and your colleagues to explore issues regarding:
- strategies to evaluate and track teacher performance,
- implementing and sustaining evidence based practices that lead to improved outcomes for children with disabilities,
- innovative strategies for turning around low performing schools,
- preparing students for college and career, and
- using data for instructional programming and program improvement.
This combined conference will include keynote plenary sessions, numerous large panel and small concurrent breakout sessions, as well as discussion groups, a poster session, and networking opportunities.
All attendees of the 2014 OSEP Project Directors’ Conference are invited to submit proposals for breakout sessions, discussion groups, and the poster session. Proposals for breakout sessions and discussion groups will be accepted from conference attendees only. The lead presenter must be a project director or co-project director of a current OSEP grant.
