OSEP Conferences

The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) holds two conferences (one virtual, one in person) during the year. In 2016 the Leadership Conference will be held virtually in February and the OSEP Project Directors' Conference will be in person in August.


  1. To provide opportunities for attendees to get important updates and guidelines from Department of Education (ED) staff to become better grantees; and
  2. To learn from and share their work (both challenges and solutions) with fellow grantees.

Who Should Attend: Part B State Directors and their staff, Part C Coordinators and their staff, Parent Training Center staff, Part B and Part C Data Managers and Part D Technical Assistance Providers.

Who Should Attend: Personnel Development Project Directors, including Leadership Project Directors, Research and Innovation Project Directors, Technical Assistance and Dissemination Project Directors, Technology and Media Project Directors, General Supervision Enhancement Grant Project Directors, State Personnel Development Grant Project Directors, State Personnel Development Grant Program Evaluators, Other Affiliation (non-grantees), Poster Session Exhibitor (not otherwise attending conference), OSEP and U.S. Department of Education Staff, additional grantee staff and OSEP doctoral students are also encouraged to attend
