Registration

The Conference will be held on Monday, July 21 – Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in downtown Washington, DC (2660 Woodley Road NW, Washington, DC 20008). Visit the Lodging and Travel web pages for more information about logistics.

All conference attendees, including presenters, must register online. Please follow the link at the bottom of this page to begin the registration process. The cut-off date for registration has been set for Friday, June 13, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. EST. After this date only onsite registration will be accepted. Note: All scheduled breakout and poster session presenters must register for the conference.

The following information will be required to complete the registration process online:

  • Affiliation
  • Contact Information
  • Payment Information
  • Grant Number (for all OSEP grantee registrants)

The registration fees for the 2008 conference will be:

  • $350 - OSEP grantees including Personnel Preparation, Research and Innovation, Technical Assistance and Dissemination, and Technology and Media Project Directors
  • $400 - Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (CSPD) Coordinators and State Personnel Development Grant Project Directors
  • $450 - All other attendees
  • $65 - Poster session exhibitors only who are not attending the conference*

*Please note: Poster Session attendees must submit a proposal online and receive confirmation that the poster has been accepted in order to participate in the Poster Session. Attendees who register only for the Poster Session will not have access to the 3-day conference sessions. If you plan to participate in the entire 3-day conference, you will not be required to pay the additional $65 poster session fee.

Payment Methods

We accept credit cards (Visa and MasterCard only), checks, and purchase orders (POs). If you are paying by check, please make it payable to American Institutes for Research and reference the 2008 OSEP Project Directors’ Conference in the memo field of the check. If you are paying by PO, please make it payable to American Institutes for Research and include the following information on the PO: each attendee’s name, the name of the conference (2008 OSEP Project Directors’ Conference), the dates of the conference (July 21-23, 2008), and the registration amount. If you are paying by credit card, please have this information available when you register online.

Please note that this information will be included in your registration confirmation email. Your confirmation email will serve as your receipt. Please keep a copy of the confirmation email for your records.

Late Registration and Refunds

It is very important that everyone register by the deadline to help with the planning process. There will be an additional $50 registration fee for all late and on-site registrations.

Refunds will be made for cancellations received before midnight (EST) Friday, June 13, 2008, less a 25% administrative fee. Due to contractual obligations, we will be unable to provide refunds for cancellations received later than June 13, 2008.

Onsite Registration

After the June 13 cut-off date for registration, attendees are asked to register on-site at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel on Sunday evening, July 20, or Monday morning, July 21. Please note that all late and on-site registrations will incur an additional $50 late fee.
